Stepa is 28 years old. He was recently released from prison on parole, and now dreams of becoming an elite plumber and working in Moscow. However, fate has other plans. Having inherited his grandmother's old room in Nizhny Novgorod, Stepa became the heir to his relative's dark past: she turned out to be a policeman's gentleman.
